If you receive above error while accessing emails in Lotus Notes client, then simply refresh your design from domain admin or client.
Open Domino Admin Client,
Goto Files
Goto Mail Folder, (In domino usually users mail db are exist in mail folder, ifyou have different folder structure, select that one)
on right window, you will see the users mail db files, select your required user
Now goto FILES menu,
Select Applicaiton
Replace Design
As showed in the image below . . .
↓
A new window popup will appear with few options,
In Template Server , select your Lotus Domino Server
Also select mail (R8.5)
& Click on REPLACE
As showed in the image below . . .
After it finishes replacing the design, you will be able to open the mails properly.
Another Quick Solution !!!
Another solution that may work is following
- Close Lotus Notes.
- Delete cache.ndk & bookmark.nsf in the Lotus directory. For example I have Windows 7 64 bit, and the location is C:\Program Files (x86)\IBM\Lotus\Notes\Data
- Now Open Lotus Notes Client and hopefully it will work fine.
